Creating/Accessing your POP3 E-mail
One of the easiest ways to access POP3 e-mail is through a program such as Microsoft Outlook or Eudora.
Follow the examples below to setup your own e-mail. To find out which server you are on, login to our Account Manager.
The username must be unique to the entire server. If you get the error message, "User exists. Choose another username." , then you will need to create a different login. This error means that another domain on the same server has already setup that username. To work around this, create a different username and then setup an 'Email Forwarding' so that the original username (now an alias) that you wanted is forwarded to the username you ended up creating.
E-mail address = your_username@yourdomain.com
Incoming Mail server = yourdomain.com
Outgoing Mail server = yourdomain.com
Account (username) = your_username
Pass = xxxxxxxx
Replace 'yourdomain.com' with your actual domain name that we are hosting.
NOTE:
To close Spam relays on our Plusmail servers, you will need to check your incoming e-mail prior to sending any e-mail (at least once within a 24-hour period).Incoming and outgoing e-mails cannot be larger than 5.0 mb.

Outgoing Mail server = yourdomain.com

Replace 'yourdomain.com' with your actual domain name that we are hosting.
NOTE:
Under 'Outgoing Mail Server', check the box that says 'My server requires authentication'. Then select 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server'.Incoming and outgoing e-mails cannot be larger than 10.0 mb.
Problems Receiving E-mail
If you are not receiving any incoming mail, it's probable that your mailbox is full. Users setup on the Plusmail servers have a
10 mb mailbox quota limit.
To clear out your old e-mail, login to your SquirrleMail by going to http://yourdomain.com/webmail (replace 'yourdomain.com' with your own domain name).
If you have your e-mail client (i.e., Outlook) setup to 'Leave a copy of the message on the server', you may want to change this as your mailbox will fill up again unless you routinely delete old messages from SquirrelMail.
Problems Sending E-mail
Check your settings to make sure they are correct. If you are on an Ensim server, you may need to update your account/username in your e-mail client
to user@yourdomain.com (your full e-mail address).
If you still have problems, your ISP may be blocking what is called "Port 25". Port 25 is the port used to send e-mail. They are doing this to cut down on the amount of spam that is sent from their networks.
All e-mail sent via the Internet is routed through the port 25, the channel used for communication between an e-mail client and an e-mail server.
Port 25 blocking allows ISPs to block spam sent out through their networks, but it tends to punish the innocent that have a need to send through e-mail servers other than those belonging to their ISP. The ISPs that block port 25 require their SMTP server to be used instead of the remote SMTP server or a SMTP server running on your computer.
How the port 25 is used
All e-mail sent via the Internet is routed through port 25. When an e-mail server that runs on your computer delivers messages, it always uses port 25 to transmit data to remote e-mail servers. Therefore, if your ISP is blocking the port, your messages will not get through.
This list contains some of the major ISPs that block port 25 on their servers:
AOL
AT&T
BellSouth
CableOne
Charter
Comcast ATTBI
Cox
Earthlink
Flashnet
MediaOne
MindSpring
MSN
NetZero
People PC
Sprynet
Sympatico.ca
Verio
Verizon
What to do
In order to send outgoing mail for your domain name hosted on I-dentity servers, you will need to change the Outgoing SMTP server to your ISP’s. The incoming mail server will always be your domain name (incoming SMTP uses a different port and is unaffected by ISPs blocking port 25).
